My Little Brother and I

We would talk and laugh and joke,

On the branches of that old mimosa tree,

Sometimes we would even eat ice cream,

My little brother and me.

We would catch crickets and sell them,

To one of our best friend’s mother,

Take the money and run to the store,

Me and my little brother.

We rode our bikes and played every day.

We could hide in the blink of an eye,

When we played the game hide and go seek,

My little brother and I.

God has plans for everyone,

Guess my time will be another,

The best ones always go first,

God chose my little brother.
